Facial skin lesion and biopsy

There are a wide variety of skin lesions which can be removed in order to reduce discomfort or for cosmetic reasons. This includes diagnosing melanoma and non-melanoma lesions, which refers to different types of skin cancers.

Lesions can usually be removed under local anaesthetic on an outpatient basis, meaning recovery time is minimal. However, the nature of the procedure depends on the size of the lesion.

There are no major risks associated with facial skin lesion removal and biopsy.
