What is cardiology diagnostics?
Cardiology Diagnostics refers to a range of diagnostic tests performed to identify heart problems and conditions.
What does cardiology diagnostics involve?
Initially, your consultant will review your medical history and discuss the problem. There are a range of diagnostic tests that may then be performed. This includes blood tests, echocardiograms to view images of the heart in real time, electrocardiographs to monitor the heart's electrical activity, Holter monitors and event monitors used to monitor the heart beat rhythm, and cardiac stress testing to assess the cardiac muscle function. By performing these tests, your Consultant will be able to diagnose and treat the underlying problem.
