Stu Wylie qualified from Brunel University in 2010 with a first class honours degree. He began his physiotherapy career at Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Foundation Trust treating inpatients and outpatients before specialising in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy and moving to Circle in June 2014. He has also previously worked for Reading Football Club, treating the club’s academy players.
Stu has a special interest in the knee and hip and also works as an Extended Scope Practitioner alongside consultants at the Reading Hip and Knee unit at Circle Reading Hospital. As a keen runner, he enjoys treating running injuries and working with patients to improve their running, assessing and treating any biomechanical issues that may affect their movement patterns. He uses our Gait 3D running lab to help him assess runners. Stu also teaches clinical Pilates and is APPI Matwork 3 trained. Post graduate training has also included acupuncture, dry needling, Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) and Biodex Isokentic assessment.
Outside of work Stu is a keen sportsman and enjoys spending time with his two teenage children.
