Sports Injury and Sports Medicine Clinic in Reading, Berkshire

Are you preparing for a marathon or triathlon? Are you a keen runner recovering from a torn tendon? Or hoping to get back on the ski slopes again after twisting your knee?

Circle Rehabilitation’s Sports Injury and Sports Medicine clinic offers assessment and treatment for recreational, youth and veteran athletes. It’s delivered to the standards that full-time professionals are accustomed to, including nutrition and sports psychology support.

We have an expert multidisciplinary team of doctors, physiotherapists, strength conditioners, psychologists and nutritionists. Together, they can evaluate your needs and put together a bespoke rehabilitation package for a week, a fortnight or however long is needed. In addition, because Circle Rehabilitation is based inside a private hospital, we have surgeons and expert radiologists with specialist interests in sports injuries: a unique combination of expertise for a sports clinic.

Our rehabilitation gym contains state-of-the-art exercise and therapy equipment. This includes Run3D Gait Analysis, which provides a comprehensive assessment of running technique, the AlterG anti-gravity treadmill, enabling you to exercise longer and harder without risk of injury using weightless technology originally developed for NASA, and the Nordic Spinal kit, offering an exercise programme to strengthen the muscles in your back according to very precise spinal measurements.

Running the clinic is Dr Kate Hutchings. As a consultant at the English Institute of Sport at Bisham Abbey, she looks after Olympic and Paralympic athletes from a range of sports. She has also worked with Chelsea Football Club, professional rugby teams and was company doctor to English National Ballet. She has particular experience attending to female athletes and their medical needs.
