Diagnosed with a stroke or Parkinsons disease?
It is well known that exercise can be hugely beneficial for patients who have had a stroke or are suffering from Parkinson’s disease. However, it can be difficult to know where to go and what to do.
Here at Circle Rehabilitation, based at our hospital in Reading, we’re offering you a free assessment and treatment plan with our dedicated team.
Free treatment package: how it works
Give us a call to talk through the offer in more detail and have an informal discussion with one of our team. We will let you know the appointment availability and how you can get a free treatment package with us.
Your first one-hour assessment will be with one of our neuro-physiotherapists. They will talk to you about the history of your diagnosis, what treatment you’ve had so far and recommend a free onward treatment plan here at Circle Rehabilitation.
Appointments for stroke run between 1pm – 4pm every Monday, from 3rd September 2018. Appointments for Parkinson’s run from 8am – 11am every Tuesday, from 4th September 2018. The last day of the offer will be Tuesday 4th December 2018.
Our assessment and treatment plan will be focused around physiotherapy exercises bespoke to you and your needs. You will need to get a GP or consultant referral to confirm you can attend before you start any exercise classes.
Step 3: Attend your exercise classes
Your treatment plan will be focused on one of two possible routes. Depending on your needs, you may be offered three group exercise classes, specifically structured for patients managing these conditions. You’ll have opportunities to ask questions and meet other patients in a similar situation attending the classes.
Alternatively, you may be offered two, one-to-one therapy sessions instead. This will be focused around achieving your goals and practicing specific exercises to help with your condition.
