British Rowing trial AlterG anti-gravity treadmill
Using technology originally developed for astronauts, Circle Rehabilitation’s AlterG anti-gravity treadmill helps to shorten recovery time, improve mobility and reduce injury. It creates a vacuum which takes away patients’ body weight, reducing impact on damaged joints.
British Rowing trialled the AlterG and other Circle Rehabilitation equipment in April when they started their partnership with Circle Reading. “It seems they have a lot of innovative equipment in there that could really help someone like myself or my fellow athletes,” said British Rower Graeme Thomas, who has qualified for the Olympics.
