At Circle Rehabilitation, we’re here to support you both physically and emotionally. We offer residential physiotherapy/rehabilitation courses, with comfortable and spacious on-site accommodation, as well as seeing outpatients for day sessions.

Our purpose-built rehabilitation centre in Birmingham offers world-class care, state-of-the-art facilities and an expert team of dedicated healthcare professionals.

A fracture is a cracked or broken bone. There are a number of different types of fractures, depending on how the bone is broken or cracked. Bone breaks can vary significantly in their severity. How much they affect your quality of life depends on both the severity and the body part injured.

Sometimes recovering from a fracture can be challenging, requiring specialised rehabilitation. That’s where Circle Rehabilitation can help.

Often, the right rehabilitation after a fracture can make a real difference to the extent of your recovery and long-term function.

Although some people will recover quickly from a fracture, some will need more intense therapy and support to help them regain their independence.

If you’ve recently had a serious fracture and are now finding it hard to function physically, effective and focused fracture rehabilitation can be a major factor in helping you to adjust, adapt, recover and regain a level of independence for yourself.

If you can begin your rehabilitation after fracture with Circle Rehabilitation as soon as possible (once you doctor is happy that clinical stability has been achieved), it can help to lower the risk of further complications and improve the chance of restoring full function.

At Circle Rehabilitation, our two priorities with your post-fracture rehabilitation are to:

  • Provide you with the best combination of specialised therapies possible to ensure you get your strength and mobility back quickly
  • To support you emotionally and physically through the rehabilitation process, and to encourage you to achieve the best recovery of your previous function possible

While many people who suffer a fracture recover quickly, sometime more intensive therapy will be required to help to regain lost strength and mobility.

This rehabilitation can involve physiotherapy, exercise and the use of specialised therapeutic equipment.

Unfortunately, though, due to the ever-increasing demand on resources in the healthcare system, many people who require it can find themselves waiting days or weeks to receive any form of fracture rehabilitation. This means days or weeks of debilitating pain and reduced mobility that could have been avoided.

Our rehabilitation centres provide world-class fracture recovery programmes in a purpose-designed environment, with no waiting lists.

Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation centres were designed with just one aim in mind: to give people like you their independence back following an injury or operation as quickly as possible.

We offer intense and personalised help with your fracture recovery that goes far beyond what many rehabilitation centres are able to offer their patients.

Our highly specialised and experienced multidisciplinary team will work with you (and anyone who is helping to support you) to ensure you receive the level of help and support you need, all based on best practice and the latest research and medical knowledge in rehabilitation of fractures.

Circle Rehabilitation offers you full support in a comfortable, friendly and relaxed environment. When you visit with us, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the state-of-the-art facilities we offer and the luxurious environment you’ll be in. From the tasty and nutritious meals through to the spacious rooms available you’ll be well looked after from the moment you walk in the main entrance.

For a no-obligation chat about your options, or to book an initial assessment, call the Circle Rehabilitation team on 0121 820 5700 or email [email protected]

Once we’ve spoken with you, your case will be reviewed by one of our specialist ankle consultants who will be able to assess your requirements. We deal with all enquiries quickly, as we know how important your ankle rehabilitation is for you.

If we think we’ll be able to help you with your ankle rehabilitation, we’ll be in touch to arrange a meeting with you. This can be done at one of our Rehabilitation Centres if you live nearby and are able to travel, or alternatively we can visit you at home. If you live a significant distance from our centres, we can carry out our initial assessment over the phone instead.

Circle Rehabilitation Birmingham is ideally placed in the West Midlands for people in Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Stoke, Shrewsbury, Worcester and beyond. Our Reading rehabilitation centre looks after the recovery needs of people in Reading, Berkshire, London and the south of England.

People travel to us from all over the UK to benefit from the amazing level of care and support we can offer. You don’t have to be living near one of our Rehabilitation Centres to benefit from our facilities, as we offer high quality on-site accommodation.

At Circle Rehabilitation, our team will devise an individual treatment plan for you, including up to three hours of personal therapy a day.

Having visited with you (or talked with you on the phone), we’ll draw up a comprehensive plan for your ankle rehabilitation. This will be tailored specifically to you and based on your requirements and what the best possible treatment and rehabilitation therapy would be for you.

We offer state of the art equipment, ample therapy space and care from a highly experienced team of therapists who are led by a rehabilitation consultant.

Your treatment plan is adjusted every day based on how you’re progressing. We measure your progress daily and can adapt the treatment plan as required.

We know that everyone is different and so we’ll make sure that your treatment plan is:

  • tailored just for you
  • based on up-to-date best practice knowledge
  • reviewed daily to ensure you’re making the progress you should be

We offer a variety of treatments, from sports physiotherapy to acupuncture, hydrotherapy to gait analysis.

The duration of your rehabilitation will depend on the nature and severity of your fracture. This can differ depending on how the fracture occurs, the fracture site and type of fracture, and how the bone healing is progressing.

As a very general guide, at Circle Rehabilitation we tend to have people stay with us for their fracture rehabilitation for anything between 3 nights to 14 nights, although this does vary as everyone is different.

Our rehabilitation aims to provide treatment that is both cost-effective and tailored to an individual’s requirements, rather than being based on the “one-size-fits-all” approach that is sadly all too common nowadays because of pressures on healthcare resources.

This rehabilitation model shifts the role of patients and their families from passive recipients of care to active participants and can enable patients to move back to an independent life as soon as possible.

We carefully select rehabilitation technology and equipment, including:

  • Anti-gravity treadmill: can help to shorten recovery time, improve mobility and reduce injury
  • Biodex Balance System 3D: this helps to increase balance and agility
  • Hi-Tech Hydro Physio: this can help relieve joint and muscle pain and increase your range of motion
  • Biodex System 4: this measures the control and strength of isolated muscle groups
  • Shockwave Therapy: this is used to stimulate healing of muscles
  • LiteGait: this enables partial weight-bearing rehabilitation

When you have your fracture rehabilitation with us, you’ll benefit from our team of highly specialised and skilled physicians. They work together to ensure you’ll receive the best care, treatment and support possible.

For example, we often find that family members can benefit hugely from talking with our specialist clinical psychologist. Recovering from a ankle injury or operation can be challenging for everyone involved, and family members often find that being able to talk with someone about the unique pressures they’re facing is really helpful.

Circle Rehabilitation is here to support you, whether at our centre of excellence in Birmingham or at one of more than 50 clinics across our UK network.

We’re here to support you family as well while we all work towards your ankle rehabilitation and getting your independence back.

Everything we do – whether with our state-of-the-art equipment and technology or through focused individual time with one of our physiotherapists – is directed to giving you back your independence as fully and as quickly as possible.

If you are struggling to regain strength and mobility after a recent fracture, why not put your recovery in the hands of the very best specialists, in the very finest purpose-built rehabilitation centre and with the very best possible care?
