Circle Reading Hospital is designed to feel different. We know a hospital visit can be daunting, so we have created a modern hospital experience that feels more like you're stepping into a luxury hotel.
We pride ourselves in providing you with the best possible care. We can offer you a choice of expert consultants, quick access to appointments.

Special attention has been paid when designing our 30 private inpatient bedrooms to ensure you have the best environment for your recovery. Each bedroom is furnished to a high standard with an en-suite walk-in shower room, so that you can get the privacy you need. Our rooms also all have a TV as standard, along with complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hospital & you'll have benefits like Unrestricted visiting hours when you stay with us  & our Free on-site parking is a huge bounce. Whether you are here for a one-off appointment, or for a more lengthy stay with us, we want you to have the best experience possible.

We know your most important concern is the quality of care that you receive. That's why we work with some of Berkshire's leading consultants who are all specialists in their fields.

By fostering strong clinical leadership and empowering our team, Circle Reading has cultivated an environment committed to delivering exceptional care. Our dedication to meticulously assess your needs to ensure we can provide the highest standard of treatment. In the rare instance that your health needs exceed our capabilities, we may arrange for your care to be transferred to another hospital, typically within the NHS and, on rare occasions, to a facility equipped for intensive care. Rest assured, any transfer of care would only occur if absolutely necessary for your wellbeing and comprehensive care.

Car

At Circle Reading Hospital, we offer free parking to patients and visitors. Please note that the car park can get extremely busy, so please arrive in plenty of time before your appointment. If you are using sat nav please use the postcode RG2 0GQ. This will direct you to the Hilton Hotel. Circle Reading is approximately 100 metres further down Drake Way. The entrance to the hospital and car park is on the left behind the building.

From the M4: Exit at Junction 11 onto the A33 towards Reading. Continue on the A33 (straight over 3 more roundabouts) until you pass the Green Park Business Park at the third roundabout. Continue on the long straight section of the A33 until you see the large green sign to Kennet Island. Move into the right hand lane before the traffic lights and turn right into Kennet Island. Then take the first right off Lindisfarne Way onto Drake Way. Go past the Hilton Hotel. You will then see the Circle Reading building on your left. The entrance to the hospital and car park is on the left beyond the building.

From Reading: Take the A33 out of Reading Town Centre, towards the M4. Continue on the A33 until you come onto a long straight section and you see the large green sign to Kennet Island. Turn left at the traffic lights into Kennet Island. Then take the first right off Lindisfarne Way onto Drake Way. Go past the Hilton Hotel so that it is on your right and continue past it. The entrance to the hospital and car park is on the left beyond the building.

Bus

Circle Reading is served by local bus routes to Drake Way (the bus stop is Kennet Island Piazza opposite the Hilton Hotel), 40, 41, 50A, 50E and 51A.

The hospital is also conveniently located close to the Park and Ride at nearby Madejski Stadium.

    • At the forefront of innovation 

      In 2018, Circle Reading Hospital became the first hospital in Europe to use a state-of-the-art diagnostic device called mi-eye 2, enabling significantly quicker diagnoses compared to traditional MRI scans.

      Mr Tony Andrade, Consultant Orthopaedic Hip and Knee Surgeon, introduced this innovative technology to Circle Reading Hospital and completed the first consultation with the device in Europe.

      • Patients can be treated at Circle Reading as a NHS patient through the NHS Choose and Book system.
      • Patients will be able to choose from a choice of clinic times including some weekend and evening appointments and with Circle Reading's short waiting times, have fast access to some of the best specialist consultants in Berkshire.

      BMI greater than 45, Patient under the age of 18, MI/CVA/Recurrent TIA within the last 6 months, Cardiac related disorders, Life threatening Respiratory Disorders (COPD, Bronchiectasis etc.), Severe and Life threatening Blood Disorders, Unstable Psychiatric disorder, Visual Acuities under 6/12 for cataract surgery, Glaucoma, Lid Cyst Removal.
