Anyone needing personal support to get around the Treatment Centre should let us know us in advance or on arrival. Wheelchairs can be provided.

If you have a visual impairment you can request a guide to help you round the Treatment Centre. Please contact us on 0115 970 5800 to arrange a guide.

If we are notified in advance of your hearing difficulties, we can arrange for someone to sign or interpret for you. Please call us on 0115 970 5800 to arrange this service.

The centre also has an induction loop fitted throughout.

You are entitled to have a chaperone present during your consultation and any tests which may be required.

NHS Patients

The Treatment Centre's car parking charges are as follows:

  • Up to 30 minutes is free
  • 30 minutes to 2 hours is £2.60
  • 2 hours to 4 hours is £6.00
  • 4 hours to 6 hours is £15.00
  • Over 6 hours is £25.00

Payment is required on departure and change is given from the Treatment Centre's car parking machine.

If your appointment over-runs and you are a patient at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre, you will pay a maximum capped charge of £6.00. Please visit the main reception desk to have your ticket validated for you.

Disabled car parking at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre

Disabled parking is available, although spaces may be limited at times. Parking is free for Blue Badge holders. You will need to present your ticket and valid Blue Badge to the main reception before leaving to have your ticket validated.

If the Treatment Centre car park is full, there are three Queen's Medical Centre car parks nearby. The closest car park to the Treatment Centre is the Queen's Medical Centre Car Park 3, which is situated behind the Treatment Centre.

The Queen's Medical Centre car park charges (Pay and Display) are as follows:

  • Up to 2 hours £4.00
  • 2-4 hours £5.00
  • Over 4 hours £6.00

These Pay and Display car parking machines require exact change.

Disabled car parking at Queen's Medical Centre

Parking for Blue Badge holders is free in designated Blue Badge spaces (but not within the main Pay and Display barrier-controlled car parks). A dedicated car park for Blue Badge holders can also be found outside the fracture clilnic on the main hospital ring road, Please note, if you are a Blue Badge holder and you park your car in a Queen's Medical Centre car park, the Treatment Centre cannot refund the fee charged.

Circle Nottingham Private Patients

Please park your car underneath the Treatment Centre. Please take a ticket and present to your host in private patients who will validate your ticket for you. If the car park is full, please contact the Treatment Centre and we can arrange for you to park in the drop-off spaces until a space becomes available. Please note, if you park your car in a Queen's Medical Centre Pay and Display car park, the Treatment Centre cannot refund the fee charged.

Smoking is prohibited within the Treatment Centre premises.

Coming into hospital is always an opportunity to consider giving up smoking, it may be useful to discuss nicotine replacement therapy with your GP and/or pharmacist prior to your admission.

To assist us in providing you with high quality healthcare we need to keep clinical records about you. These records will consist of personal information such as name, address and date of birth. We also keep a record of all of your visits and any notes, treatments or investigation that are undertaken at the facility.

This information is used to make decisions about your future care and treatment and also to confirm your identity when we communicate. Your clinical records may also be part of a quality check, such as clinical audit, to ensure that we are providing safe and effective care to all our patients.

All employees at Circle Nottingham have a duty to protect and secure you personal details in a confidential manner. We take the security of your information very seriously, for this reason we have chosen to undertake ISO 27001 certification programme whereby we are externally reviewed on an annual basis to ensure that our handling of information is done so safely and in-line with best practice and legislation.

To ensure you as a patient experience a seamless transition between ourselves and our neighbouring healthcare providers, we may have to share your information. The healthcare providers, in which we may share your information with, also have a legal obligation to ensure that your information is kept safe and secure at all times. This is managed through information sharing agreements.

The Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and Circle Nottingham have a shared medical record. This is because there are lots of care pathways that are shared too. By having a shared medical record we can ensure that clinicians have relevant information available to them, which will allows them to provide the best clinical care possible.

In order to rapidly process your correspondence we work alongside a company called Prescribe, who are a medical administration solution that are contracted to type non-urgent clinic dictations and correspondence under strict guidance. The process used meets the Caldicott Principle 1997 and uses pseudo anonymised identifiable information, your date of birth and local hospital identifier (not NHS number). The server that houses the dictations is based in the United Kingdom and medical administration staff based in the Philippines access the dictations remotely. We have undertaken a privacy impact assessment to ensure this process is safe and meets the Data Protection Act 1998.

If you have any further questions relating to this, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Governance Team who will happily explain this process in more detail.

We will only share your information with other healthcare providers that you are scheduled to visit for a clinical reason. If we receive a request that is not in line with our information sharing agreement we will contact you directly to ask for your permission before sharing any information.

However, in certain circumstances we have a legal obligation to share your information with or without consent:

  • to assist with Police enquires for the prevention or detection of crime
  • to assist a Coroner's investigation
  • under court order
  • in the public's best interest

No, if you wish to receive medical care at our facility we must keep records.

Under the Data Protection Act you have a right to request your personal medical records (with some exemptions). We will not disclose your medical records to your family or friends unless we have received explicit consent to do so. If your request for medical record access (disclosure) is approved you may incur an administration charge for the processing of such request.

If you would like to request your personal medical records please write to the following address including your full name, date of birth, address and NHS number, along with the address you would like them sending to.

The Accessible Information Standard applies to service providers across the NHS and adult social care. The standard aims to ensure that disabled people have access to information that they can understand and communication support that they might need. Circle Nottingham are committed to being fully compliant with the standard. 

Circle Nottingham has agreed to participate in the Nottinghamshire Formulary so that our prescribers provide the same medication as others across Nottinghamshire.

The development of the Nottinghamshire formulary has been overseen by the Nottinghamshire Area Prescribing Committee and choices are based on clinical evidence as well as consultant and GP opinion.

The formulary aims to provide information on medicines available to prescribers in Nottinghamshire, reflecting safe, evidence-based, cost-effective choices.
