Circle Bath Hospital introduces a new sepsis management trolley
Circle Bath Hospital introduced a new sepsis management trolley. This is located in our in-patients ward and enables staff to initiate the treatment and management of an episode of sepsis.
Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) Clinical Commissioning Group visited Circle Bath hospital last week. They met with Emily O’Hara, Head of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals at Circle Bath, and members of the clinical team to assess safety processes and quality of our care. They were particularly impressed with the new sepsis trolley.
Sepsis, also known as blood poisoning, is the reaction to an infection in which the body attacks its own organs and tissues. To learn more about the condition, visit the UK Sepsis Trust website at www.sepsistrust.org.
