Care Quality Commission
Circle Reading is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to deliver the regulated activities of treatment of disease, disorder or injury, surgical procedures, diagnostic and screening procedures. We are required to comply with the high standards they set for quality and safety in hospitals.

Unplanned returns to theatre
An operation, however minor, is a serious event and we understand that this can make our patients feel nervous. However, we work hard to ensure all our patients receive the best possible outcome first time round. Consequently unplanned returns to our own theatres within 30 days of surgery are measured on a monthly basis. In the 12 months up to February 2018, Circle Reading Hospital had 3 unplanned returns to theatre.
We know our patients are concerned by what they read about healthcare associated infections, like MRSA, which is one of the reasons why we strive to provide the very highest standards of care.
Because of the stringent approach Circle takes to infection prevention and control, in the last 12 months across our hospitals we have had zero reported cases of bloodstream infections for MSSA, MRSA, E. Coli and C-Diff.

C.Difficile is another healthcare associated infection, that causes concern for our patients. Like MRSA, we take infection control very seriously.
Since opening in August 2012, CircleReading has had zero cases of healthcare acquired C.difficile.
