Unplanned returns to theatre
An operation, however minor, is a serious event and we understand that this can make our patients feel nervous. However, we work hard to ensure all our patients receive the best possible outcome first time round. Consequently unplanned returns to our own theatres within 30 days of surgery are measured on a monthly basis. During February 2018, Circle Bath has had 0 unplanned returns to theatre.
We know our patients are concerned by what they read about healthcare associated infections, like MRSA, which is one of the reasons why we strive to provide the very highest standards of care.
Because of the stringent approach Circle takes to infection prevention and control, in the last 12 months across our hospitals we have had zero reported cases of bloodstream infections [stat to be updated] for MRSA, E. Coli and C-Diff. For more information on our approach to these infections, click here.
C.Difficile is another healthcare associated infection, that causes concern for our Patients. Like MRSA, we take infection control very seriously and you can read more about our infection control policy here.
Circle Bath has had zero cases of healthcare acquired C.difficile since opening in March 2010.
