Resuscitation Council ILS course
The ILS course has been developed in order to standardise much of the in-hospital training undertaken already by resuscitation officers. Its aim is to train healthcare personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, simple airway management and safe defibrillation (manual and/or AED), enabling them to manage patients in cardiac arrest until arrival of a cardiac arrest team and to participate as members of that team.
The course is run over one day and consists of lectures and practical stations. The manual is forwarded two weeks before the start of the course and the candidate is advised to study this thoroughly. Assessment on the course is continuous in nature and copies of the pre-course MCQ forms are forwarded to the candidate with their manual.
We offer one course every month/ Each course runs from 9am to 6pm.
Cost of the ILS Course
The cost of the ILS course at Circle Bath is £125 + VAT.
