Dr Bhansali is an Anaesthetic and Pain Management Consultant at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre. He graduated from India and completed his specialist training at Nottingham University Hospitals where he gained experience in complex spinal problems and neuromodulation. He attained a Fellowship from the College of Anaesthetists, Ireland.
Dr Bhansali treats patients with degenerative spine disease, back and neck pain, shoulder pain and sciatica, knee and hip pains, myofascial pain and abdominal pain. He believes in multidimensional pain management and feels that patient education is a main pillar of treatment management. Special interests include interventional pain management and advanced radio frequency ablation pain therapies to aid the rehabilitation process.
He is actively involved in educating trainee doctors and pain physicians from across the world by teaching them Ultrasound applications in regional anaesthesia, pain medicine and musculoskeletal medicine. He is engaging with the medical school to incorporate pain management into the curriculum.
He is qualiﬁed to carry out procedures under x-ray and ultrasound guidance. He has also attained further certiﬁcation of interventional pain sonology (CIPS) from the World Institute of Pain (WIP).
Dr Bhansali sees and treats NHS patients at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre.
Dr Bhansali has a special interest in pain arising from degenerative joint diseases including shoulder osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis knee & hip osteoarthritis.
Dr Bhayani specializes in the radiofrequency treatment of genicular nerves to reduce the pain arising from painful joints.
Dr Bhansali is qualiﬁed in both ultrasound guided pain injections and X –ray guided interventional pain procedures.
In addition to detailed medical assessment he oﬀers treatments like medications, nerve block injection, cooled and conventional radio-frequency treatment.
