Paula qualified as a Dietitian in 1991 and spent the next 12 years working as a clinical dietitian in several hospitals in the UK where she gained experience in a wide variety of dietetics; she specialised in artificial nutrition (parenteral and enteral), obesity, sports nutrition and gastrointestinal disorders. Since 2002, she has been working as a research dietitian in both the private and public sectors looking specifically at military nutrition. During this time, I have undertaken a number of studies and written educational guides to improve the health and physical performance of military personnel.
She is a firm believer in the benefits of a healthy diet to optimise health and wellbeing. She recognises that we all have different nutritional requirements and that these requirements change at various times through our lives e.g. age, levels of activity and illness. She also understands the pressures and strains of daily life and how these can sometimes negatively impact on eating patterns and food choices! She will offer clear, practical and realistic advice based on lifestyles, to help achieve and maintain optimum health benefits through the appropriate nutrition.
