
Mr Coats is a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine and surgery. He currently sees NHS patients at Circle Bath through the e-Referral system.
He qualified at St George’s Hospital Medical School in 2005 and completed training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in South West England. Mr Coats undertook sub-specialist training in Nottingham where he undertook research in assisted conception techniques and their impact on IVF outcomes.
Mr Coats is an experienced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeon.

Ed is married with two children and is a keen sportsman. He is a retired British decathlete adventurer who has trekked to the North and South Pole and has been involved in several TV documentaries on BBC and C5.
