Long-sightedness

Long-sightedness, also known as hyperopia, affects the ability to see objects that are close. It is most often caused by a cornea that is not curved enough, although can also be due to the eyeball being too short or the lens not being thick enough. Farsightedness can usually be managed with glasses or contact lenses.

There are various surgical procedures which can be used to correct long-sightedness. Your consultant will recommend the best treatment for you.
