Sports medicine

Sports medicine deals with assessment and treatment of sports injuries, as well as the prevention of future injuries. Sports medicine is offered at Circle Bath and Circle Reading, where our experienced consultants and specialist nurses can treat a variety of sports related problems.

Circle Bath's Sports Medicine Unit is led by an internationally renowned sports medicine specialist providing a complete sports injury management service alongside a sports science facility with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. International athletes travel from around the country to receive specialist care within the unit which is renowned for its clinical outcomes. The unit offers a dance medicine facility supported by Dance UK and the National Institute for Dance Medicine and Science. Amateur athletes through to elite sports men and women are regularly treated at Circle Bath.

Circle Reading's Sports Rehabilitation Centre offers a unique multidisciplinary approach to the management of soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries. Our team of experts comprises of experienced sports medicine consultants, specialist physiotherapists, soft tissue therapists and podiatrists who have a background working with Olympic and Paralympic athletes, professional sports teams as well as recreational athletes.

The Rehabilitation Centre provides combined expertise in the diagnosis and management of both, paediatric and adult sporting injuries and offers innovative isokinetic Biodex muscular assessments to enable patients to return to their level of physical activity as quickly and safely as possible.
