What is AccuRx?

Circle Integrated Care have utilised the widely used AccuRx Chain which integrates directly with SystmOne and EMIS, the two patient administration systems we use. How do I access my video consultation on the day of appointment?

When the clinician is ready to start your consultation, they will initiate a text message to you containing a secure link, which will look something like this:

  1. Once you receive the message click on the link
  2. It will then open your internet browser and you will be given two choice. Please click “continue in browser”
  3. It may show you a screen where you need to click "Request permissions" to enable your camera and your microphone
  4. You should then be able to see yourself

You should then wait for the GP to join the consultation.

You can find a video tutorial here.

What if I don't have a smartphone or the video doesn't work on my phone?

You can also access the link on a computer or tablet device as long as you have camera or webcam available by using this link.

Where should I be when completing my appointment?

In your video consultation, the clinician will be able to see you and your surroundings. You should make sure you are in a comfortable, private location that you don’t mind being seen by the clinician.

You should be dressed comfortably and appropriately for your appointment. If your appointment requires the clinician to examine an area, you should try and wear loose clothing to make sure this can be accessed easily.

What happens if I do not wish to have a video consultation?

Although video consultations during this time is more beneficial, we understand that not all patients wish to undertake these, or have the means. In these cases we will book a telephone consultation and carry out the assessment this way.
