Hinchingbrooke Hospital, a district general hospital in Cambridgeshire, is to be operated by one of five private sector organisations from 2011 - and Circle is one of the five in the bidding process. The hospital has debts of over £40m, and the only NHS organisation in the bidding process (Cambridge University Hospitals Foundation Trust) recently dropped out citing concerns about resources.
