CircleBath, the first new hospital built by Circle, the leading healthcare employee-owned partnership, last night won Best Building Project (in the £3-50M category) at the British Construction Industry awards.

85 nationwide building projects were entered in the category and CircleBath beat off stiff competition from 12 shortlisted finalists including the Medieval & Renaissance Galleries, Victoria & Albert Museum; the United Kingdom Supreme Court; and 23 Savile Row, Mayfair.

Announcing CircleBath as the winner, the British Construction Industry judges remarked that "CircleBath represents a complete rethink in healthcare provision".

Ali Parsa, Managing Partner at Circle said "We are delighted our doctor-led approach to building design, conceived to deliver the best possible patient experience, has been recognised by the British Construction Industry. CircleBath is our first new-build and we will continue to innovate and push the design boundaries in future building projects."

CircleBath was designed by leading architects Foster+Partners, built by main contractor VINCI Construction UK, with Arup as the principal Engineers.  CircleBath was delivered by property company Health Properties on behalf of Circle.
